XTOOL AutoProPAD Basic Activation:

1. Please activate AutoProPAD Basic before you use it to test vehicles. And please connect WiFi first.
2. Input activation code (on the Quality Certificate cover), product serial number (each device will have a serial number and activation code), nickname (workshop’s name or user’s nickname), login account (can be your email address or cell phone number) and password, the system will then save it. Activation is a one time process. The diagnostic application will start after activation.

How do I get updates?

There are 2 methods for updating your unit:

Connect your XTOOL AutoProPAD BASIC to a WiFi network. Click the menu button on the top-left and select Updates. There you will see all updates available and can simply click each one to get your device updated.
Connect your AutoProPAD BASIC to a WiFi network. From any screen showing all vehicle manufacturers, a small, white Update icon will appear next to a manufacturer name if an update is available. Click each update icon to perform the update one at a time.
Please check for updates frequently. We recommend checking it weekly since updates are being added at a fairly fast pace.

XTOOL AutoProPAD Basic Updates & Support Subscription:

Xtool AutoProPAD BASIC includes a free year of unlimited updates. When your subscription ends, you can continue to use your unit like normal, but any new updates will not be available to download. Also, please note that on-the-vehicle technical support is only available to users with an active subscription.

If the user’s machine subscription was expired for longer than 30 days:

• there will be a Subscription Reactivation Fee of $150 to start a subscription again
• their subscription is considered NEW and the start date will be the day the new subscription is activated onto their machine

If the user renews their subscription within 30 days of the end of their subscription’s expiration:

• there will not be any additional fee
• their subscription is considered a CONTINUATION and the start date will go backward to the day after their subscription ended (the expiration)
