• This PCB works as a replacement for Mercedes IR Prox Keys in E Class, C Class, S Class, ML Series, and GL Series with the EIS Modules listed below from 2009 to 2015 as long as they are FSB3 Systems and do not have the Push To Start Button on the vehicle’s Shift Lever. If the vehicle you are working with has the Push To Start Button on the Shift Lever, there is not currently a replacement Prox Key available for these vehicles.

How to exchange FBS3 smart key frequency between 315MHz and 433MHz?

Method 1:

If you have VVDI MB Tool, it is easy to change frequency in VVDI MB software (update software to latest version)

Select Other Function-> Set key remote frequency/ Update MB smart key

You can set frequency between 315MHz and 433MHz

Method 2:

If without VVDI MB, you can change FBS3 keyless go smart key frequency manually by soldering / desoldering the FRE resistor (marked red in picture below)

Note:
Due to the design flaws of a few OEM shells, pressing the button forcefully may cause a short circuit on the circuit board, resulting in battery leakage.
To avoid this problem, it is recommended to put insulating tape on the area shown in the figure below.
